Originally knit with Mary Maxim’s Knitting Worsted yarn, a 4 oz skein (approx 240 yds) at that time.  But now, with a wide variety of worsted yarns to choose from, you can customize this project to suit you. Keep in mind that yardage may differ. All you need are U.S. sizes 4 (3.5 mm), 6 (4 mm), and 8″ double point needle size 4 (3.5 mm) needles to begin!
